Shaylynn Hayes-Raymond to Publish Fiction and Poetry Under Pen Name “S. N. Hayes”

May 29, 2025 – Canada – Author and therapist Shaylynn Hayes-Raymond will now publish all fiction and poetry under the pen name S. N. Hayes. The change is intended to create a clear boundary between her professional work in counselling psychology and her creative writing.

Hayes-Raymond, known for her non-fiction work on mental health, misophonia, and sensory processing, made the decision to keep her clinical identity separate from her artistic one. As S. N. Hayes, she will continue to explore themes of emotion, human connection, and resilience through fiction and poetry.

“Writing creatively has always been a big part of who I am,” Hayes-Raymond says. “Using a pen name allows me to keep that part of my life distinct while continuing to grow as both a therapist and a writer.”

Upcoming creative works by S. N. Hayes will reflect the same honest, grounded storytelling style that has drawn readers to her fiction and poetry in the past.
